Andorra Public Transport Hits 4.24M Validations in H1 2026, Up 0.5%

Andorra's public transport network recorded 4.240.817 passenger validations in the first half of 2026, a 0.5% rise from the same period in 2025, according to data from ANA via Estadística.
Coopalsa, operating routes across the central, northern, and eastern valleys, handled 3.033.533 validations—71.5% of the total—but registered a 0.9% drop year-on-year. Nadal, serving the Sant Julià de Lòria to Escaldes-Engordany corridor, achieved 1.207.284 validations, reflecting a 4.1% increase.
Government subsidies funded 82.8% of trips from January to June, covering €3.994.207—a 1.9% uptick from €3.92 million in 2025 and a 1.2 percentage point improvement from 81.6% coverage.
The system operated 11 lines until 30 June: eight regular daytime services and three overnight routes. Average daily trips rose in all categories, reaching 803 on weekdays (up 10.9%), 507 on Saturdays (up 8.8%), and 480 on Sundays and holidays (up 16.8%).
June showed particular strength, with 655.991 validations—a 7.2% increase or 43.867 additional trips compared to June 2025. Subsidies supported 599.814 of those trips (91.4% of the total, up from 90.3% the prior year), costing €682.096—an 8.4% rise linked to €52.668 more than June 2025. Weekday averages hit 773 trips (up 11.9%), Saturdays 470 (up 7.3%), and Sundays or holidays 433 (up 17%).
Coopalsa logged 450.569 validations that month, gaining 5.1%, while Nadal recorded 205.422, up 11.9%.
