Andorra Public Transport Trips Up 2.9% in July to 615,523

Public transport usage in Andorra climbed 2.9% in July to 615,523 validations, according to Department of Statistics figures.

This total reflects 17,610 more trips than the 597,913 recorded in July 2025. Operator Nadal registered 179,869 validations, up 4.6% or 7,899 from the prior year, while Coopalsa managed 435,654, a 2.3% rise equivalent to 9,711 additional trips. Coopalsa accounted for 70.8% of the volume, with Nadal at 29.2%.

Year-to-date through July, internal bus lines recorded 4,856,340 validations, edging up 0.8% or 38,662 from the 4,817,678 in the same 2025 period. Nadal's share grew 4.1% to 1,387,153 trips (28.6%), while Coopalsa's fell 0.5% to 3,469,187 (71.4%).

Government-subsidised trips dominated, comprising 554,473 validations in July—90.1% of the total, compared to 88.5% a year earlier, an increase of 1.8 percentage points. Cumulatively through seven months, 83.7% of trips qualified for subsidies, up from 82.4% in 2025.

The 11-line network—eight daytime and three nighttime—averaged 691 weekday runs in July, down 6.1% from 2025, alongside 473 on Saturdays (up 0.6%) and 435 on Sundays or holidays (up 0.5%). Year-to-date averages improved: 787 weekday trips (+8.5%), 502 on Saturdays (+7.6%) and 473 on Sundays or holidays (+14.3%).

July's figure lagged behind earlier peaks, including March's 803,160 validations, January's 770,504 and February's 742,003. June totalled 655,991.

Subsidies reached €631,510 in July, a €50,586 drop from June but up €28,951 or 4.8% year-on-year. The seven-month total hit €4,625,718, a 2.3% increase from €4,520,618 in 2025.
