Andorra Public Transport Trips Up 2.9% in July to 615,523

Public transport usage in Andorra reached 615,523 validations in July, marking a 2.9% increase from the previous year, according to Department of Statistics data.

The figure represents 17,610 more trips than the 597,913 recorded in July 2025. Coopalsa handled 435,654 validations, accounting for 70.8% of the total and up 2.3%, or 9,711 trips, year-on-year. Nadal recorded 179,869 validations, a 4.6% rise equivalent to 7,899 additional trips, for a 29.2% share.

From January through July, internal bus lines logged 4,856,340 validations, a 0.8% gain of 38,662 over the 4,817,678 in the 2025 period. Nadal's year-to-date total climbed 4.1% to 1,387,153 trips (28.6% share), while Coopalsa's dipped 0.5% to 3,469,187 (71.4%).

Government-subsidised trips made up 554,473 validations in July, or 90.1% of the total—up 1.8 percentage points from 88.5% a year earlier. Over seven months, 83.7% of trips qualified for subsidies, compared to 82.4% in 2025.

The network of 11 lines—eight daytime and three nighttime—averaged 691 weekday runs in July, down 6.1% from 2025, with 473 on Saturdays (up 0.6%) and 435 on Sundays or holidays (up 0.5%). Year-to-date averages rose to 787 weekday trips (+8.5%), 502 on Saturdays (+7.6%) and 473 on Sundays or holidays (+14.3%).

July's total trailed peaks from earlier in the year, including March's 803,160 validations, January's 770,504, February's 742,003 and June's 655,991.

Subsidies totalled €631,510 in July, down €50,586 from June but up €28,951, or 4.8%, year-on-year. The seven-month figure stood at €4,625,718, a 2.3% increase from €4,520,618 in 2025.
