Five Andorran nationals in their twenties remain hospitalised after their jeep-type vehicle plunged about 10 metres down an embankment on a rural track in Ribera d'Urgellet, in Catalonia's Alt Urgell region, near Borda del Poblador in the Pla de Sant Tirs area alongside the C-14 road by the Segre River.

One occupant climbed out to call emergency services at 18:09 on Sunday. The Catalan Medical Emergency System initially noted three critical injuries, one serious and one minor among the five. Rescue efforts on the difficult slope mobilised two SEM helicopters, three ambulances, a medical team, five Generalitat fire brigades, and an extra rescue helicopter, with assistance from Mossos d'Esquadra and the Catalan Traffic Service.

One person with minor injuries left La Seu d'Urgell Hospital on Monday. As of Wednesday, the seriously injured patient—transferred to Andorra's Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Hospital—stayed in intensive care awaiting surgery but remained stable and out of danger. The other three critically injured individuals continue under treatment: one at Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell with no condition change reported, and two who had been at La Seu d'Urgell before transfer to Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, with no further updates available.

Authorities have not released additional findings from the ongoing police probe into the crash cause.
