A car crashed into a streetlamp and planter on Avinguda Francesc Cairat in Sant Julià de Lòria yesterday morning, causing material damage but no injuries and briefly halting traffic.
The incident occurred shortly before 7am on the uphill section of the CG-1 urban road. The vehicle lost control and struck the street furniture alongside the pavement near the river passage. Its front end sustained heavy damage, with parts scattering across the carriageway, and it came to rest blocking the road transversely.
The driver exited the car unaided on foot. Officers from the Servei de Circulació and local workers responded quickly, removing debris and wreckage to reopen the road with minimal disruption before peak traffic.
