The Andorran government has awarded the final stretch of a pedestrian walkway linking Massana and Erts along the CG-4 main road to Pidasa Serveis for 627,521.97 euros.
The Council of Ministers approved the contract during its latest session. The works will create a 190-metre-long, 3-metre-wide pathway, complete with lighting and a vegetated area. This section will connect the roundabout at Carrer de la Bòvila—near the Costa garage and Hotel Paladin—with the Erts entrance roundabout, enhancing pedestrian safety and mobility.
The six-month project excludes the area around the telecabina, which awaits separate improvements tied to the upcoming Massana-Ordino bypass.
This marks the fourth and last phase of a broader initiative to build a continuous walkway from Massana to Arinsal. The effort originated from a 2019 participatory process led by the government, which has invested 1.7 million euros in the scheme since 2023.
