Andorra Awards Activa't Certificates to Five Young Participants in Youth Employability Program

Laura Camps, Andorra's Secretary of State for Economy, Employment and Housing, presented participation certificates to five young people aged 16 to 22 and their host companies during the sixth edition of the government's Activa't programme.

The initiative, run by the Department of Employment and Work within the Employment Service, aims to boost youth employability by addressing barriers to entering the job market. Participants completed three stages: individual guidance and monitoring, 16 hours of training in transversal skills, and hands-on work experience in real business settings.

Camps emphasised the programme's value as a core public policy tool to ease young people's job market entry, build their skills and create tangible future opportunities. She noted that personalised support and direct exposure to the business sector help participants gain confidence and refine their career paths.

Since launching in 2021, Activa't has supported around 40 young people, marking its growing role as an active employment policy instrument.

In this edition, the work placements took place at five local firms—Via Moda, Art i Manya, Centre de Jardineria Tot Natura, Ofi 3 and Llibres Idees 2—spanning retail, manufacturing, gardening, office services and IT sectors.

Camps thanked the companies for their involvement and praised the Employment Service's efforts. She stressed that public-private partnerships are vital for crafting effective policies aligned with the job market and youth needs.

The government plans to keep expanding such schemes to enhance youth qualifications and promote a more inclusive economic model.
