The University of Andorra (UdA) has announced its 2026 Summer School programme, offering seven short courses on nutrition, artificial intelligence, debate and other topics. Scheduled from 15 June to 2 July, the sessions target university staff, students, local professionals and the general public. They will run in person on the UdA campus, apart from one cooking workshop, with each lasting two to four hours.
The programme kicks off on 15 June with Dr Alex Yáñez presenting "The 11 Tricks of Food Marketing and the Food Industry," which analyses manipulative tactics in food consumption.
On 18 June, communication experts David Andrés and Pablo Roca will deliver "Debate 2.0: From Theory to Real Debate—Think, Argue and Convince," focusing on crafting solid arguments and identifying fallacies.
The next day, 19 June, features a nutrition education workshop from the University's Institute for Health Research: "Legumes: Your Great Allies for Health." Led by Dr Alba Reguant, it incorporates a practical cooking session at the kitchen of the Sant Julià de Lòria Cultural Centre.
The second week begins on 25 June with a seminar titled "Governance, Risk and Compliance in Artificial Intelligence for Academia and Research." Specialists Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, Jaume Díaz and Andrés López will address legal and ethical aspects of AI.
On 29 June, Qiyao Jia from Andorra's Confucius Classroom will run a Chinese writing workshop, tracing the development of characters through hands-on calligraphy with brush and ink.
Eudald Parera takes the stage on 30 June for "Antifragile Intelligence: Growing and Thriving in Times of Uncertainty," providing tools to lead amid pressure and convert chaos into strategic gains.
The final session arrives on 2 July with Dr Eloi Batlle's "Creativity, AI and the Problem of Having Too Many Ideas," exploring AI's role in boosting divergent thinking while preserving individual judgement.
