The flock—drawn from a larger herd of 1,500 set to graze in the surrounding mountains this summer—followed key streets such as Avinguda Sant Antoni and Avinguda del Ravell. Starting at the Rotonda de les Costes de Teixidó, the sheep proceeded to Prat Gran under the guidance of shepherds. Now in its second year, the urban transhumance event seeks to promote the primary sector, highlight traditional shepherding practices, and raise awareness of transhumance, which is recognised as a Cultural Event of Interest and UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The procession kicked off Saturday's programme for the Benedicció de Setúria, with the formal livestock blessing scheduled later at Setúria. The day will conclude with a traditional countryside lunch at Serrat de l’Esmaligat, beginning at 1pm and organised by the Confraria de Sant Antoni.
