Sant Julià de Lòria Awards €41K Contracts for Fire-Damaged Cultural Centre Reopening Shows in 2026

Sant Julià de Lòria council has awarded direct procurement contracts totaling €41,127.35 for the shows and concerts forming part of the Centre Cultural Lauredià's reopening programme next year.

The cultural centre, which suffered fire damage in November 2022, will relaunch with events running from 25 to 30 June 2026 under the theme "Obrim el futur a la cultura". The contracts, detailed in Wednesday's BOPA gazette, went to La Mediterránea SL for €23,922.22 to organise the inaugural shows, and Art Music SL for €17,205.13 to handle the concerts.

These performances are scheduled for 27 and 28 June in Sant Julià de Lòria. The overall programme features a mix of free and paid activities aimed at all ages, including immersive displays with lights, video and music on the building's facade, family dance sessions, DJ sets, the Brodas Bros show "Petit Break", the installation "Un Teatre al Jardí", the musical "El fil invisible", a habaneras concert by Les Anxovetes, and Maria del Mar Bonet performing tracks from her album "L’aigua no cansa" at Auditori Claror.

The centrepiece event takes place on Thursday 25 June at 21:00 in Plaça de la Germandat, with a bespoke production incorporating music, video, lighting, vertical dance and audience involvement. Additional highlights include a podcast recording with MotoGP rider Pedro Acosta.
