Firefighters have fully withdrawn their operations at the La Querola residential complex in Ordino parish, four days after the massive blaze that destroyed much of the luxury development.

The emergency response unit lifted the device yesterday at 5 p.m., confirming no remaining hot spots, according to the shift chief speaking to Diari d'Andorra. A single truck from the La Massana unit and an advanced command post stayed on site briefly without personnel, ready for any needs. Emergency agents had conducted checks every three hours in the affected area to rule out re-ignition risks. By late afternoon, they removed all remaining equipment, sealed off the zone and barred access pending the police investigation.

Earlier updates had marked the fire as extinguished after more than a day of work. Presidency Minister Conxita Marsol shared that news at a press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting, building on fire service director Juanjo Barrio's report that operations had reached the control stage. At noon that day, three teams—each with a sergeant or officer and two firefighters—addressed four hotspots, while engineers evaluated structures block by block in the hardest-hit areas. Barrio indicated embers might linger but carried no re-ignition danger, given the lack of fuel in hard-to-reach spots despite the fire's intensity.

Blocks 6 and 7 sustained no damage, block 5 saw minor effects, and crews protected some outer apartments in taller blocks near the forest. A full engineering review of every building continues. The fire, one of Andorra's largest by area, began at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, devastating 10,000 square metres of the 6,900-square-metre, seven-block project designed by Jean Nouvel. Valued at €130 million with 52 empty luxury homes priced between €2.4 million and €6.3 million, the site reported no injuries.

The initial response involved around 35 firefighters and 15 vehicles from Andorra la Vella, La Massana, La Seu d'Urgell and Catalan teams, supported by traffic agents, police, Civil Protection, Red Cross and SAMU. A helicopter dropped water six times after 11 a.m. to protect nearby forests. Coll d'Ordino road stayed closed in the area. Ordino councillor Òscar Betriu described it as the parish's worst recent incident. Interior Minister Ester Molné verified safe air quality, keeping schools open. Officials including State Secretary Joan Antoni León, Barrio and Molné visited the site. No threat persists to adjacent forests.
