Andorra la Vella parish council is undertaking a project to improve public signage, beginning with an analysis of more than 300 signs throughout the area.
Officials plan to map all existing signs, verify that their details remain current and precise, and determine if their positions hinder pedestrian flow. A local firm will carry out the 15,000-euro assessment, according to Cònsol Major Sergi González.
During Thursday's Consell de Comú session, González responded to opposition queries by noting that the review would provide an initial broad assessment of signage conditions. That would pave the way for a detailed master plan covering installation locations and consistent design standards to enhance urban navigation.
Opposition councillor David Astrié called for involvement in the effort, especially on placement decisions, to ensure signs do not block footpaths.
The overhaul seeks greater clarity and accessibility in public spaces, though no completion date has been set.
