The versatile 27-year-old forward from Banja Luka averaged solid numbers in Lithuania's top league and

MoraBanc Andorra has signed Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic for the 2026-2027 season, marking the club's second summer acquisition after Owen Aquino.

The 27-year-old, standing 2.01 to 2.03 metres tall and hailing from Banja Luka, joins from BC Lietkabelis Panevėžys in Lithuania's top flight. Last season, he averaged 7.2 to 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 19.7 minutes across 41 domestic games, while contributing 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.2 valuation in 17 BKT EuroCup appearances. Mutic signs for one year and occupies a development slot, bringing versatility as a small forward or power forward to bolster frontcourt depth.

Mutic rose through Real Madrid's youth system after arriving in Spain as a cadet, winning Spain's cadet title in 2015 at La Seu d'Urgell. He amassed experience across Spanish leagues from EBA to LEB Oro and Primera FEB, including stints with UCAM Murcia's affiliate (where he crossed paths with future teammate Chumi Ortega), Delteco GBC (ascending to ACB under Marcelo Nicola alongside Johnny Dee), a loan to Bàsquet Manresa's CB Artés (16.1 points, 8 rebounds), TAU Castelló, CB Almansa (with ex-MoraBanc's Carles Bivià; 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds), and Marbella (12.1 points, 5.7 rebounds). Before Lithuania, he spent two seasons with Okapi Aalstar in the BNXT League, averaging 10.6 points and 6.8 rebounds.

Internationally, Mutic represented Bosnia and Herzegovina's youth teams, including the U16 side that won the European Championship in 2015—defeating Lithuania 85-83 in Kaunas—where he teamed with Džanan Musa and Sani Čampara, grabbing 8 rebounds in the final despite limited scoring.

Sporting director Jordi Ardèvol praised Mutic's positional flexibility and adaptability. "Beyond his scoring ability, we highlight his defensive intensity and toughness," Ardèvol said. He added that Mutic's career progression to ACB level reflects maturity and ambition. "He arrives eager to keep growing, and we expect that energy to benefit the group."

The move aligns with the squad rebuild led by Ardèvol and head coach Zan Tabak ahead of the new campaign.
