Mariona Casas, representing the Andorran Swimming Federation (FAN), placed 20th in the free solo event at the European Junior Artistic Swimming Championships in Munich, scoring 161.31 points with a difficulty rating of 36.1.
The Andorran swimmer debuted entirely new routines in both free solo and technical solo categories at the competition, which started on June 29, 2026. Despite finishing near the bottom of the standings, Casas showed substantial progress, boosting her score by nearly 40 points from last year's European Championships while increasing the routine's difficulty by seven points compared to her 2025 performance.
She entered the event in strong shape, buoyed by recent solid results at the Catalan Championships. National team selector Estel Ferreras noted that the routines had evolved significantly, with Casas demonstrating notable consistency during training. Technical coordinator Natàlia Meca described the performance as a major leap forward at European level.
