FC Andorra has announced three new signings ahead of its preseason start on Monday at the Estadi Comunal, including Andorran international Aron Rodrigo on a deal until 30 June 2029, defender Andoni López, and right-back Juan Sebastián.
Rodrigo, a 21-year-old winger born in Lleida on 10 July 2004, joins from SD Huesca's reserve team on a free transfer for three seasons. Formed in the youth setups of Atlètic Segre and UE Europa before a stint at Binèfar, he brings skill in one-on-one situations, dribbling, and bold challenges on either flank. Son of Andorran Football Federation secretary general David Rodrigo, he has earned between 10 and 11 senior caps for Andorra, plus 12 under-21 appearances with one goal. The club views him as a future investment in national talent.
López, now 30 and standing 1.87m, arrives on a free from SD Ponferradina in Primera RFEF, where he was a regular last season with five goals and five assists, aiding a promotion playoff final run. A former Athletic Club youth product, he has 81 to 86 Segunda División games, one goal, and six assists, offering physicality, ball control, and attacking threat from left-back. He faced FC Andorra in last year's playoffs and signs for one season with an optional extra.
Right-back Juan Sebastián, 24, is set to join from Real Zaragoza on a free transfer, with the club retaining 50% of his rights plus performance variables. He debuted for Zaragoza's first team in 2023-2024, spent time on loan at Alcorcón in Primera RFEF, and played 24 games for Zaragoza last season. An official announcement is expected soon.
These moves follow midfielder Hugo Solozábal's earlier signing and bolster the flanks as the team undergoes medicals Monday before its traditional Murcia camp for a fourth Segunda División season.
