The pre-season basketball match between BC MoraBanc Andorra and Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos, scheduled for 2 September at 20:00 in the Prat Gran pavilion as part of the ninth Trofeu Escaldes-Engordany, has been cancelled.

MoraBanc Andorra and Escaldes-Engordany commune, the event organisers, suspended the fixture after injuries to several Burgos first-team players combined with absences from national team duties during the FIBA window left the Spanish side unable to field a viable squad.

In a statement, the clubs noted the situation was beyond their control, necessitating the cancellation from MoraBanc Andorra's pre-season calendar.

Ticket holders will receive full refunds. Purchases made online through bca.ad will be automatically credited to the original payment method, with processing expected by early next week and no action required. In-person sales at club offices—whether by cash or card—can be reclaimed at those locations or by emailing secretaria@bca.ad.

Organisers expressed regret over the lost chance to bring the team and fans together ahead of the season, thanking supporters for their understanding.
