Andorran rhythmic gymnast Berta Miquel placed 19th in the qualification round at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, scoring 65.350 points overall but falling short of the final.

Competing for the Andorran Gymnastics Federation, Miquel posted competitive results across the apparatus: 12th with the hoop at 23.000 points, 12th with the ball at 20.350, 17th with clubs at 21.700, and 18th with the ribbon at 20.650. The Andorran Olympic Committee (COA) noted her solid effort at the close of a demanding season that featured the world championships.

Small errors cost her a reserve spot for the final, though Miquel remained upbeat. "Overall, we had some mistakes that kept us from being reserves for the final, but we achieved the result we expected," she said. "We're happy because without those small errors, we'd be close to the general final tomorrow. That's a source of pride for the team and shows the work we're doing."

The performance, she added, fuels motivation to refine routines ahead of next season.

Focus now shifts to Andorra's athletics team, with events beginning Sunday. Athletes include Nahuel Carabaña, Duna Viñals, Ariadna Fenés, Eloi Vilella, and Pol Moya.
