Andorran Gymnast Berta Miquel Finishes 51st at World Championships

Andorran rhythmic gymnast Berta Miquel expressed satisfaction with her experience at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Frankfurt, Germany, despite finishing 69th overall out of 93 senior competitors with 86.850 points.

Miquel, representing the Federació Andorrana de Gimnàstica (FAG), highlighted strong performances in her ribbon and hoop routines, where she completed the exercises as planned and earned scores that matched her preparation. She recorded her best result in ribbon with 23.250 points for 52nd place, followed by 23.150 in hoop (43rd), 20.300 in ball (48th), and 20.150 in clubs.

The gymnast noted that clubs, her opening apparatus, required extra effort to find her rhythm after a challenging moment, though she was pleased overall. In ball, the final routine, she competed cautiously to minimise errors. Miquel also pointed to progress in her mental management during the high-stakes event.

Initial qualification scores had suggested a 51st-place all-around finish with 66.700 points, but the complete results across all four apparatuses confirmed 69th position. She improved on her previous rope score from a World Cup while gaining key exposure at this elite level.

Miquel's participation marked Andorra's presence in individual rhythmic gymnastics as the championships wrapped up in Frankfurt.
