Tickets for Sunday's basketball match between MoraBanc Andorra and FC Barcelona in Encamp are nearly sold out, with only about 20 left from more than 400 available.
The game, scheduled for 12.30pm as part of the VIII Trofeu d’Encamp, has generated strong interest, according to Nino Marot, Encamp's sports councillor. He said the venue is close to full capacity and expressed delight at hosting the Catalan club's basketball team—the fourth and final FC Barcelona section to train in the parish this summer, after futsal, handball, and roller hockey squads.
Marot noted the visit's special timing, aligning with the basketball section's centenary. The team has blended training sessions with group-bonding activities, including a go-kart outing in Pas de la Casa on Friday morning. He underlined the benefits of such stays, adding that the club has been pleased with facilities in Encamp and Pas de la Casa.
Barcelona coach Aleksander Sekulić called the training camp essential for team preparation. The Slovenian emphasised building relationships among players and staff to pursue common objectives. Sekulić also commended the local conditions as ideal for strengthening squad unity.
