A 40-year-old man sustained minor injuries after the company truck he was driving veered off the CS-335 secondary road at kilometre marker 1.820 in the Aldosa area of La Massana on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 5pm on the Camí de les Gravades. For unknown reasons, the vehicle slid off the carriageway, broke through the protective barrier and plunged about 20 metres down an embankment, coming to rest in a field below, according to municipal traffic officers and firefighters.

Emergency teams responded promptly, including firefighters with a heavy recovery truck and ambulance, Massana traffic services, a police patrol unit and a Servei d'Urgències Mèdiques (SUM) ambulance. The driver, the sole occupant and only person affected, received on-site treatment before hospital transfer with a mild prognosis.

Despite the crash's severity and the steep drop, traffic flowed without interruption during the response. Municipal traffic services plan to clean the road and recover the vehicle today.

In a separate collision in Escaldes-Engordany, a 17-year-old motorcyclist with a local-plated bike struck a 58-year-old pedestrian crossing at number 15 Avinguda Carlemany around 4.45pm. Both suffered injuries and were taken to hospital for assessment.
