Police in Ordino arrested a 34-year-old resident on Wednesday for allegedly committing an offence against public safety in road traffic by driving with a forged foreign licence.
The case dates back to 15 July, when local traffic officers stopped the man operating a motorcycle with Andorran registration plates. He produced a foreign driving permit that immediately aroused suspicion due to its appearance. Officers conducted subsequent checks and confirmed the document was counterfeit.
In separate recent operations, authorities detained six men for driving with blood alcohol concentrations above the criminal limit. The drivers, aged 29 to 51, registered levels between 0.87 and 2.14 grams per litre.
