Key Points

  • Andorra approves €450K+ contracts for road maintenance across parishes, including repairs, resurfacing, and signage.
  • €628K awarded to Pidasa Serveis for 190m sidewalk on CG-4 between La Massana and Erts.
  • Road works by T.P. La Coma and Multiserveis Co-Príncep, each 12 months duration.
  • Sidewalk project enhances pedestrian safety and completes La Massana-Arinsal connection.

The Andorran Council of Ministers has approved contracts totaling more than €450,000 for road network maintenance across all parishes, along with a €627,521.97 award to complete the final pedestrian sidewalk stretch between La Massana and Erts on Road 4 (CG-4).

The decisions were made during Wednesday's session under the Ministry of Territory and Urbanism, led by Raül Ferré. The road works, each lasting 12 months, target repairs to defects, resurfacing, vertical signage updates, and vehicle restraint system improvements on both main and secondary roads.

T.P. La Coma received a €150,000 contract for main roads, covering civil engineering upkeep, signage replacement and maintenance, and restraint systems. On secondary roads, Multiserveis Co-Príncep secured a €150,000 deal for signage and restraint work, while T.P. La Coma took another contract, capped at €150,000, for civil engineering and road surface maintenance.

The sidewalk contract goes to Pidasa Serveis for the 190-metre-long, 3-metre-wide path, including lighting and vegetation. It runs between the Carrer de la Bòvila roundabouts—near the Costa garage and Hotel Paladín—and the Erts entrance. The six-month project finishes the pedestrian connection between the two areas, apart from the telecabina section awaiting upgrades linked to the La Massana-Ordino bypass.

This forms the fourth phase of the La Massana-Arinsal sidewalk project, which originated from a 2019 government participatory process. Since 2023, authorities have allocated €1.7 million to the initiative.

The approvals aim to enhance road safety, preserve infrastructure, and support improved mobility throughout the country.
