Starting 23 February, passengers using the free shuttle bus service between Andorra and Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell Airport must make advance reservations to secure a seat.
The Andorran government announced the change via social media, stating it aims to ensure a "sustainable and needs-based" service. The shuttle will remain free, but bookings—also free—must be made up to 48 hours before the flight departure. Without a reservation, users risk waiting until reserved passengers board and checking for any remaining empty seats.
Reservations are handled through the Andbus website (andbus.net), operated by Novatel, which was awarded the four-year contract last July at an annual cost of €69,940. The deal can be extended by two additional years. Users select their origin and destination, travel dates, and preferred pickup point: Estació Nacional d'Autobusos, Prat Salit, Rotonda de la Margineda, La Valireta, or Duana Andorrana.
Those needing accessible transport for reduced mobility should note this during booking to arrange a wheelchair-friendly bus. Boarding requires showing the reservation—printed or on a mobile device—along with the flight ticket.
The service supports regular flights at the airport, providing a key link for Andorran travellers.
